Greetings!

1.  There will be a mini-celebration at the Maple Tree Café, Hopmeadow St in Simsbury, 7PM, Wednesday July 18th.  Apologies for the short notice.

2.  Nancy Cohen of WNPR reported on the closing.  Hear the story here:

3.  House Bill 1341:  Governor Rell did sign it.  Big disappointment.  Many, many people wrote in about this, from Keep the Woods and other organizations.

Thank you to those who did write in - now we need to think about the future and adding protections next year; more information to follow.

4.  For those of you who like trails, and enjoy the rock band “Kansas” – don’t miss this on August 24!!

The Concert will benefit the Farmington Valley Student Union (AKA Crossroads Teen Center), the “Rails to Trails” project - Farmington Valley Trails Council & East Coast Greenway Alliance.  Donations will be made primarily to these three, and other non-profit organizations.

Keep the Woods!
