AT THE SHORE:

Saturday, April 26, 9am – 4pm

Earth “Work” Day – Head down to the shore in Madison, CT and clean up freshwater wetland of trash, litter clean up in the wood lots and beach.  Our wetland is the last spot of filtration before directly entering Long Island Sound.  Lunch provided.  Volunteers should bring their own gloves and appropriate clothing including shoes for wet conditions. IN THE VALLEY:

Saturday April 26,  Noon to 6:00

Grand opening of the Riverview, Rt. 10, Simsbury - just north of the intersection of Rts. 10 and 185.  

Major fundraiser for Farmington River Watershed Association (www.frwa.org), Farmington Valley Trails Council (http://www.fvgreenway.org) and East Coast Greenways (http://www.greenway.org).  It’s on the Farmington Valley Greenway (http://www.fvgreenway.org).  Ride your bike off-road from Avon, Simsbury, Farmington and more!

Come for the fun, the giveaways, the entertainment (fly fishing, mountain biking) and the food and drinks catered by Riverview.  Tickets are $25/family and $10/individual.
