Let’s Keep the Woods

*Let’s Keep the Woods*
(to the tune of “Don’t Fence Me In”)

I love the trees and the hills under starry skies above,
Let’s keep the woods.
I want to save all that great open country that I love,
Let’s keep the woods.

We’ve got enough McMansions and enough deforestation,
Got enough amacite to cover the nation.
It’s time we started thinking about preservation,
Let’s keep the woods.

Just let me hike, let me ride upon my bike where the gentle waters flow.
We’ve got it all, let’s not waste it on a mall or another picture show, no, no!

I want to go for a walk in the evening breeze,
See the moon a-shining through the evergreen trees.
It’s not to much to ask, so I ask you please,
Let’s keep the woods.
